Mental health symposium to aid new mothers planned for Tuesday

Professionals who care for new mothers are invited to participate in a symposium about maternal mental health from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at the Sheraton Four Points hotel in Midlothian.
The CJW Maternal Mental Health Symposium, sponsored by Johnston-Willis Hospital, costs $100 and will include physicians, psychiatrists, and speakers who have survived Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, among others.
Discussion will revolve around risk factors, identification of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, treatment, resources, and community support.
