Special Olympics bowling tournament comes to Erie

The Special Olympics Pennsylvania Western Bowling Sectional will take place Saturday in Erie.
Organizers expect as many as 325 athletes from western Pennsylvania to attend the tournament, which will be held at Eastway Lanes, Westway Lanes and Greengarden Lanes.
Winners will qualify to participate in the Special Olympics Pennsylvania State Summer Games in State College this summer. Winners from the Summer Games are eligible to represent Pennsylvania at the Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle in summer 2018.
Events are divided into three categories: individual, doubles and team bowling. Individual bowling includes singles, ramp unassisted bowl and ramp assisted bowl. Doubles and team bowling include male, female, mixed, unified sports male, unified sports female and unified sports mixed.
