Face of the Day: Sydney Meyer

Sydney Meyer is a sixth grader at Lewis Central Middle School. Her siblings are Kelsey, Luke and Quinn.
Sydney participates in gymnastics, piano and Special Olympics. Sydney has won first place at the state Special Olympics Track Meet the past two years in the softball throw.
In her free time, Sydney loves sleepovers, watching movies, playing tetherball and coloring. This past summer, Sydney traveled to Okoboji with her family. She enjoyed boating and especially loved tubing.
We hope that you will join Sydney and her friends and family at the Southwest Iowa Buddy Walk to be held this morning at the Iowa School for the Deaf Lied Center. Doors open at 9 a.m. and the walk starts at 10 a.m. There will be activities and entertainment for the whole family including DJ Evan Smith, Miss Tammy's Dance Group, Star Wars and Princess Poppy Characters, bounce houses, silent auction, sweet shop, photo booth, fire trucks, and face painting. The Pancake Man will also be serving brunch from 9 a.m. to noon for $5 per person. There are free T-shirts for participants while they last.
